This unit ships with 12 sixth-size pans designed keep pre-prepped produce or meat close at hand; these pans sit 11/2 inches below the fitted stainless steel cover. The cover is hinged for simple opening and closing to shield the product from contaminants when needed. For additional cooling, the base benefits from a self-contained refrigeration system utilizing capillary tubes with R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Its effective air distribution works effectively in ambient temperatures as high as 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Users can control the temperature setpoint from 32 to 52 degrees Fahrenheit, and for simple autonomy that streamlines this unit's operation, it's supplied with a time-initiated defrost system.
